Indian American Impact On Kalpana Kotagal’s Confirmation to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

Kalpana’s long overdue confirmation is a victory for all workers including those most marginalized.

Washington, D.C. —  Yesterday, the U.S. Senate confirmed esteemed civil rights lawyer Kalpana Kotagal to serve as a commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Kotagal has a proven track record of defending workers, civil rights organizations, women, and other disenfranchised people in employment and civil rights actions.
