Tim Walz Delivers a Clear Victory in Vice Presidential Debate, Strongly Supported by South Asian American Voters

New York, NY— Indian American Impact Fund, a leading national political organization and prominent voice for Indian and South Asian Americans, celebrates Governor Tim Walz’s decisive victory in tonight’s presidential debate against JD Vance.

The debate presented two starkly different visions for the future of America. Tonight, Governor Walz outlined a vision for a New Way Forward where everyone has a fair shot at achieving the American Dream.  Meanwhile, Vance resorted to spreading outright lies and extreme MAGA rhetoric that alienates and leaves behind communities like ours.

Chintan Patel, Executive Director of Indian American Impact Fund, shared the following statement:

“Governor Walz’s strong performance tonight highlighted his ability to speak directly to the American people in clear and personable terms, offering real solutions for working families. Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are committed to creating opportunities for all Americans, including South Asian communities, and protecting our freedoms. In contrast, JD Vance’s backward-looking rhetoric calls for repealing the Affordable Care Act, stripping women of their reproductive rights, and demonizing immigrants. His extreme agenda would harm millions and take us back to a time when our rights and opportunities were under constant threat.”
