Portland, OR— Ahead of the May 21st Oregon primary, The Impact Fund is launching a $150,000 mail campaign to bolster Susheela Jayapal for Congress in OR-03. If elected in November, Susheela would be the first South Asian elected to a federal office in Oregon.
The mail campaign targeting over 40,000 likely voters in OR-03 will highlight Susheela’s progressive yet politically pragmatic voice that will move the country forward on the problems facing our nation, including securing abortion rights, climate justice, and medicare for all.
Chintan Patel, The Impact Fund’s Executive Director, shared the following statement:
“We’re thrilled to support Susheela Jayapal for Congress in Oregon. Susheela’s impressive fundraising and broad range of endorsements, both locally and nationally, far outpaces her opponents’, and underscores her appeal across diverse voter bases and coalitions.
The most progressive and most experienced candidate in this race, Susheela would be a fierce champion for reproductive rights, education, workers’ rights, and climate justice in Congress. We’re thrilled to support her candidacy.”
