Impact Summit 2023: Call for Proposals

Every year, Indian American Impact Project convenes hundreds of South Asian Americans from across the country for our Annual Summit to discuss issues affecting our communities and how we can mobilize and advocate for ourselves to shape a better future for everyone.
Inspired by the landmark United States vs. Bhagat Singh Thind case in 1923, this year’s Summit focuses on reflecting on the progress our communities have made in the 100 years since the Thind decision and the extraordinary challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Through trainings, keynotes, workshops, and Capitol Hill visits with the nation’s leading South Asian policymakers, trailblazers, and changemakers, we’ll take action to reimagine the next 100 years and shape a future in which South Asian Americans and all marginalized communities are fully represented in civic life and at every level of government.
The Opportunity
For the first time ever, we are opening up submissions for workshops and trainings so YOU can help shape this year’s Summit. Have an issue you want to present on or a training you think will help develop the next generation of policymakers, leaders, and activists? Share your ideas with us!
Chosen facilitators will have the opportunity to reach a wide, diverse audience and receive an honorarium of $150 to lead the workshop on June 6th in Washington, D.C.. Presenters traveling outside of the DC-area will also have one-night hotel covered.
All workshops will need to be 45 minutes to an hour long, and accommodate for 50 to 75 attendees.
